Apply to Graduate – Convocation Ceremony : Current Student Program

When you have completed your program requirements, you will need to complete the Application to Graduate process. AU approves and awards credentials every month. The first step in the process is to submit an Application for Graduation form (log in required) to the Office of the Registrar.

All requirements for the credential (final grades, including grades for courses on Letter of Permission) must be received and processed by the Office of the Registrar by the 15th of the month in order to be submitted for approval in the following month. For example, students who completed all their requirements by September 15 will be approved to graduate in October. The exception to this would be if you want to attend our convocation ceremonies in June. In this case, the Application for Graduation form must be submitted by April 30, and all requirements must be met by the end of the first week in May.

All students who receive graduate or undergraduate degrees are invited to attend the convocation ceremonies held by AU in June of each year. Graduates of university certificate or university diploma programs are listed in the convocation program, but do not participate in the ceremonies. Click on this link for more information about our convocation ceremonies.

It is recommended that you contact Advising Services periodically for assistance with tracking your progress toward graduation.
