Access for Students with Disabilities (ASD) : Non Program/Visiting/Unclassified

If you are a student with a permanent or temporary disabling condition that may impact your ability to pursue studies, our Access to Students with Disabilities (ASD) office is available to assist you. Students with permanent or temporary sensory, learning, physical/mobility, emotional, and other functional differences may access reasonable individualized accommodations and support services.

You can request a variety of services, including

  • information
  • assessments for assistive technology or course materials in alternate format
  • assistance and/or referral for funding and services
  • extension of course contract dates
  • examination accommodations and support

Please see the ASD website at for more detailed information regarding the types of services that may be available to you.

In order to register for services with ASD you must complete and return a Verification of Accommodation and Support Service Requirements (VOA) form.

Note that if you are a student with a permanent disabling condition, you may be eligible to access additional financial assistance through your provincial, territorial or federal funding program. If you anticipate that you may require access to assistive technology and/or support services due to a permanent disabling condition, we recommend that you contact ASD to discuss your needs at least four months prior to commencing your studies.

If you require any additional information or assistance, please contact ASD.
