The Athabasca University Students' Union (AUSU) : Prospective Students - Program

The AU Students’ Union (AUSU) is the official undergraduate students’ union at AU. The council comprises nine students elected to 2-year terms and a staff team who are available to provide information, support, and services to members. The union’s role is broad and includes lobbying the government and the University for funding and services that students need, as well as individualized advocacy to help students who encounter problems during their studies.

As long as you are in a single AU course, you are a full member and eligible for all of the services provided by AUSU.

Visit the AUSU website at for information on the services they provide.

AU also has an association for graduate-level students. Please visit the AUGSA website at if you would like more information.
